I have thoroughly enjoyed the IMUKA 2011 conference in beautiful Maastricht. The welcome from all the conference and supporting staff was very warm and professional. Nothing was left to chance. The well renowned national and international speakers have both confirmed some tried and tested methods, as well as given me lots of inspiration to think about new techniques and concepts. For me, this is the most important aspect of a successful conference, and the main reason why I can highly recommend my colleagues to join IMUKA in the future.

Why should I attend the 2012 IMUKA conference? Because the 2011 meeting was absolutely outstanding: great topics, great speaker, great discussion (which is the real "core" of any educational meeting), a complete industry exhibition plus a friendly atmosphere that allows participants to interact with the faculty.
We want say also great food and wine in an almost unforgettable city.
So what are you looking else when you attend a congress? Oh yes I was forgetting this is an independent meeting, which means that no one wants to sell you anything.

I flew from Bogota, Colombia, to participate in your Congress in Maastricht IMUKA which surpassed my expectations for his excellent scientific program, perfectly organized by area, with outstanding lectures and panel discussions and also enjoying the beautiful city of Maastricht.

Thank you for your kind invitation to this high level meeting held in Maastricht. I was glad to contribute to it and honoured to be a part of your excellent faculty. We all learnt a lot during this excellent meeting; a number of controversial issues were thoroughly discussed and different interesting opinions were heard.
All in all I was very glad to participate in this high-class scientific meeting held in this beautiful facility. The scientific quality of this meeting was complemented by the superb social program and the dedication and outstanding hospitality of the organisers.
We are all looking forward to the upcoming IMUKA meetings.
Francesc Soler, MD, PhD
I would like to thank you for your kind invitation and attentions that you and your team had with me and the rest of the spanish speakers. Our stay in Maastrich was fantastic, we enjoyed it a lot.
Concerning IMUKA, the idea to review and update a topic (in this case arthroscopy procedures) it's very interesting, and I congratulate you to invite European speakers, so I think our level is minimum the same as our coleagues in the USA, but they are mainly supported by the Companies and the papers, and for these reason the presence of European doctors is less frequent in these cain of events.
We imagine the problems and conflicts to resolve for organize a meeting as IMUKA, but I encourage you to repeat the exeprience, so is an oportunity to share the "european knowledge".

The 1st IMUKA meeting held in Maastricht was really a fantastic one I've ever attended. It has been well organized and focused on an extremely unique and important issue which is the main concern of our professional practice. Your special insight about exploration of this old problem has brought new horizon to this common disease. It's my honor to have the opportunity to participate and contribute to this meaningful event. I am looking forward to the IMUKA 2010 for more novel ideas about hip coming together in this lovely city.

Unicompartimental disease of the knee was the unique focus of the 2008 IMUKA meeting. The concept of a meeting around one single yet challenging clinical problem is extremely appealing to the physician treating these patients. The audience received detailed information and left the meeting having a clear view on the current and upcoming techniques and treatment options. I am absolutely sure, that Nanne Kort together with this strong and world renowned faculty will achieve the same goals for the 2010 IMUKA Hip meeting.
Enjoy!

Dear Nanne,
thank you for your invitation to your high level meeting held in Maastricht. I was gald to contribute to this excellent meeting and it was a honour to be a part of your excellent faculty. I think - in spite of the overcrowded scientific agenda - the IMUKA meeting organized by you is a very useful and special one, because of its multidisciplinar approach to a frequent problem of the daily orthopaedic practice. I hope you will continue your activity to bring together the different disciplines for a more effective approach and to learn from each other as we did recently in Maastricht.

"The first IMUKA-congress took place in Maastricht from the 4th to the 6th of February 2009.
The treatment of unicompartmental knee osteoarthritis was the theme, covering the whole gamma of treatment from physiotherapy, different kinds of chondroprotectives, cartilage and meniscus surgery to osteotomies and prosthetic surgery.
After the 3days of congress, the audience had got a clear view how and when to treat different stages of knee osteoarthritis.
Discussing only one specific topic in detail made this congress so interesting, and will certainly know a big success in 2010 when the hip will be discussed."
